Dwight is one of our longest-tenured employees, moving from a simple sewer scoper position to a Project Manager for our Sewer team. A musician at heart, you can find Dwight playing bass in a local band or catch him practicing the guitar, mandolin, and drums at home! More than music, Dwight loves his two sons and appreciates raising them in Portland, where Dwight has lived for over 20 years. No matter what, if you have a Sewer question, Dwight will get you the answer!

Tyler has been here for five years and now works as our Sewer Project Estimator, focused on client communication. Since his arrival at Environmental Works, Tyler has been a paragon of high-quality work and incredible communication skills. Tyler is also our resident green thumb, often bringing in home grown fruits and vegetables for our team. His dream of living off his own land, with his own small farm seems not far off. Between his skills as a pastry chef and the fresh food from his house, his generosity leads to delicious dishes at company events! Tyler brings a unique blend of skills and passions to the team and we're grateful to have him as part of our EWorks family.

With over 10 years of experience in the environmental consulting and remediation industry Sam's expertise is invaluable. Originally from Chicago, he now calls the beautiful Pacific Northwest home. Sam graduated with honors from the University of Washington with degrees in Environmental Science and Resource Management. He is certified by the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists for Radon Testing and Mitigation. He has played a role in restoring riparian areas, forest habitats, and ensuring indoor air quality in countless places. Sam's love for travel, food, and adventure stems from his parent’s former career as an American Airlines employee. Having the fortunate opportunity to explore different parts of the world at a young age, he now enjoys sharing these experiences with his wife and two children.

Tommy is a valued member of the Environmental Works family. With nearly a decade of experience with the company, Tommy now leads our Pipe Lining operations and works full-time alongside the Drill and Sewer teams. Born and raised in southeast Portland, Tommy has a strong connection to the area, with snowboarding and camping keeping him active and connected to Oregon’s outdoors. With his extensive skills and dedication, even accepting late closings and weekend work, Tommy is the go-to guy for any difficult task!

Kelsey Entrikin, PhD. is our incredible Accounting Manager. As a one-person accounting department, she handles all the transactions that flow through her office with a cool calmness that we all appreciate. Enjoying puzzles for fun in her spare time, Kelsey manages dual entry accounting for us in the same way, finding the right place for everything. We're so lucky to have Kelsey as a part of our team at Environmental Works.

With over a decade of experience in sustainable construction and custom building, Mark has extensive experience in green building practices, environmental testing, and radon mitigation services. His broad range of expertise includes projects ranging from installation and maintenance of radon reduction systems to environmentally friendly renovations and LEED-certified green construction. Mark is certified for radon measurement and mitigation through the National Environmental Health Organization’s – National Radon Proficiency Program (NEHA-NRPP) and has a broad knowledge of radon reduction equipment and practices. Mark has been with Environmental Works from the beginning and has installed and designed thousands of radon systems in Oregon and Washington.

Outside of work, Mark spends quality time with his 3-year-old son and every new experience is exciting and fun.

From a childhood in Missouri, collegiate soccer, and time in the culinary arts, we’re happy that Evan found his place here in Portland with our team. In his free time, he enjoys collecting baseball cards and seeking out exciting outdoor adventures with his wife, son, and dog. Matthew Lowrance

Owner

Matthew has over 8 years of environmental experience in both the public and private sectors. His areas of specialty include ecology, environmental site assessment, stormwater management, regulatory compliance, and construction project management. Matthew has conducted investigations at petroleum-contaminated sites, evaluated the effects of agricultural pesticides on Salmonid health, and participated in a variety of community and educational outreach programs. Additionally, for three years he worked for the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality as a Natural Resource Specialist. His close working relationships with clients, as well as with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, enable him to address the concerns of all parties in framing solutions to environmental problems.

Joel oversees day-to-day management of the company’s field operations with a primary focus on the Radon and HDD Divisions. Joel led the growth and development of each service division at Environmental Works, inspiring a culture of hard work and the philosophy of getting the job done right.

His 15 years of experience as a construction project manager, general contractor and environmental scientist brings a perfect blend of expertise that puts the service quality at Environmental Works above the rest.

He received his Masters of Science in Environmental Science and Resources from Portland State University in 2007. His areas of technical expertise include radon measurement and mitigation, sustainable building practices, storm water management, and freshwater ecology. Joel is certified for radon measurement and mitigation through the National Environmental Health Organization’s – National Radon Proficiency Program (NEHA-NRPP) and has installed more radon mitigation systems throughout the Portland Metro Area than we can count.

A born Oregonian, Sol is now settled in Portland as our Radon Testing & Mitigation specialist! Joining the team in 2015, we rely on Sol for experienced knowledge about Radon and mitigation systems. Sol is certified for radon measurement and mitigation through the National Environmental Health Organization’s radon proficiency program. He has designed and installed hundreds of radon systems in Oregon and Washington. Outside of work, Sol enjoys cooking delicious food, going to metal shows, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends.

Lionel is the Manager of the Heating Oil Tank department, working his way up from being hired as a Field Technician in 2019. Born on Maui, Lionel’s athleticism propelled him into a spot on the University of Portland’s Division One soccer team. Staying in the area after graduation, Lionel has brought his degree in Environmental Science and his Underground Storage Tank certification to Environmental Works. While his free time remains athletic, playing soccer when he can and riding the slopes when the snow falls, work at his job ensures that our projects are always done correctly, up to DEQ standards.

Our sole remote employee, Adam is our Senior Report Writer here at Environmental Works. With degrees in Earth Sciences and Biology, he brings his love of the Earth to work. Adam now works remotely from Minnesota, moving closer to family while raising his two boys. In his free time Adam enjoys volunteering on dinosaur digs, combining camping, scientific discovery, and a great workout! Fun fact, Adam can be seen featured in the Jurassic Park 3 DVD special features!
